Robb Montgomery is a professor of mobile journalism and the author of “Smartphone Video Storytelling (Routledge Books - New York & London)

He produces and teaches courses at the EFJ school of journalism in Paris, and FH Wien School of Journalism in Vienna. 

As a distinguished visiting professor he has lectured and led courses for the Medill School of Journalism, the Danish School of Journalism, American University, Cairo University, and KU.

In 2011 Montgomery developed the mobile journalism training program for Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty and has trained more than 20,000 storytellers in mobile video methods and created the Mobile Journalism syllabus used by leading universities and digital storytelling course packs used by NGOS and media organizations worldwide.

He holds a b.a. in Journalism (1990 - Eastern Illinois University) and previously worked as an editor at the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times.
